 The agenda was dealt with in the following order.

Apologies were received from Bridget Williams and James Gough

 

 

2.   Bylaws

 

Staff from the Policy Team joined the table and briefed the Board on Council Bylaws. The briefing covered:

·         Information about the purpose of bylaws, how they are made and the review process

·         The Council’s current bylaws

·         The bylaws scheduled for review over the coming term

The briefing specifically covered the review of the Alcohol Restrictions in Public Places Bylaw, including:

·         The purpose of Alcohol bylaws and enforcement options

·         The definition of ‘public places’ and the current alcohol ban areas in the Council’s existing Bylaw

·         The approximate timeline for the review.

Community Board members were invited to provide any feedback about the existing Alcohol Restrictions in Public Places Bylaw to their Community Board Advisor.

 

3.   Nor West Arc Section 3 - Aorangi Road (Ilam Road to Brookside Terrace) - Project Update

 

The Project Manager briefed the Board on section 3 of the Nor’West Arc Major Cycleway Route on Aorangi Road between Ilam Road and Brookside Terrace. The briefing covered:

·         An update on progress since the Council approved the original design for this section in February 2022.

·         The updated option now proposed by staff

·         The proposed consultation approach

·         The budget implications of each option

·         The alignment with three-waters renewal works
