1. Purpose Te Pūtake Pūrongo
1.1 The purpose of this report is to provide the Council with:
1.1.1 All submissions received on the Local Water Done Well consultation.
1.1.2 A schedule of submitters who wish to speak to their submission during the hearings.
1.2 Attachment
A contains a schedule of submitters who will speak to their submission
during
the hearings and a table of their submissions.
1.3 Attachment B contains a table of submissions by submitters who do not wish to be heard (including those submitters who originally wished to be heard but no longer wish to be heard).
1.4 Attachment C contains the Local Water Done Well consultation document.
1.5 Note that the Local Government Act 2002 requires, as one of the principles of consultation,
that “the views presented to the local authority should be received by the local authority with
an open mind and should be given by the local authority, in making a decision, due consideration” (section 82(1) (e).
1.6 Note that the Council will hear from submitters at this meeting and will make a final decision on Local Water Done Well at a future Council meeting.
