– How to avoid this happening again? Dean Harker (FENZ) discussed work
with community boards in the area, low flammable planting, and defendable
zones. John Filsell raised that the Port Hills plan discusses this.

requirements. John Filsell discussed budgeting.

Tim Drennan said that samples will be taken after rainfall. ACTION: Tim to check if we have a good pre-fire measure.

defence emergencies.

– technology are more monitors coming? John Filsell - five in place,
committed to another 3, port hills plan will explore if there needs to be
more. Micheal Healy (Council Smart Cities) – funding of 3 more put in
place based on FENZ advice, installed quickly. Building a business case to
fund more/longer term.
