1. Brief Summary He Whakarāpopototanga Poto
1.1 The purpose of this report is provide the Road Closure Subcommittee with information to enable the Subcommittee to make a decision regarding the application for proposed road closure for the Banks Peninsula A&P Show 2024. The proposed road closure is to allow for the safe running of the A&P show by removal interactions between regular road users and show attendees.
1.2 This report has been written because Fulton Hogan Ltd have proposed to close the following road from 6am to 6pm on Saturday, 20 January 2024:
· Western Valley Road from Christchurch Akaroa Road to Church Road
1.3 The event organisers have indicated that they have undertaken direct notifications to impacted parties, see attached, which is required as part of the road closure application process. The event organisers will provide a record of any feedback received, from impacted parties, to the Subcommittee in advance of the scheduled meeting or alternatively the organisers may present the information in person to the Subcommittee.
1.4 Public notification was carried out through publication in The Press and on the Council website. The period of time allowing for objections to be received meeting the minimum required time period of one week. The application was publicly advertised in The Press on Tuesday, 28 November 2023 with objections closing Wednesday, 6 December 2023.
1.5 There were no objections received by Council, as a result of the public notifications process.
1.6 Road closures for this event have previously been approved by the Road Closure Subcommittee at this location, with no unexpected impacts regarding traffic movements, reported in the area (update as required).
1.7 Staff support the proposed temporary road closures and believe that it will not unreasonably impact traffic.

2. Authorise the approval of the temporary road closures for the Banks Peninsula A&P Show, proposed to be deployed from 6am to 6pm on Saturday 20 January 2024:

1. Brief Summary
1.1 The purpose of this report is provide the Road Closure Subcommittee with information to enable the Subcommittee to make a decision regarding the application for proposed road closures for the Electric Avenue 2024 in North Hagley park. The Proposed Road closures are to provide for safe access and egress for event attendees, without having to interact with regular road users.
1.2 This report has been written because Team Events have proposed to close the following road from 7pm to 11:59pm on 24 February 2024:
· Armagh Street, from Cranmer Square West to Park Terrace
· Park Terrace, from Armagh Street to Chester Street West
· Park Terrace, from Bealey Avenue to Dorset Street
· Rolleston Avenue, from Armagh Street to Gloucester Street
1.3 The event organisers have indicated that they have undertaken direct notifications to impacted parties, see attached, which is required as part of the road closure application process. The event organisers will provide a record of any feedback received, from impacted parties, to the Subcommittee in advance of the scheduled meeting or alternatively the organisers may present the information in person to the Subcommittee.

1.6 Road closures for this event have previously been approved by the Road Closure Subcommittee at this location, with no unexpected impacts regarding traffic movements, reported in the area. The proposed closures have been requested to be in place 2 hours earlier than previous events to ensure the safe and efficient running of the event. This is due to observations of previous events identifying improvements able to be made.
1.7 Staff support the proposed temporary road closures and believe that it will not unreasonably impact traffic.

1.1 The purpose of this report is provide the Road Closure Subcommittee with information to enable the Subcommittee to make a decision regarding the application for proposed road closures for the Coast To Coast Event 2024. The proposed road closures are to provide for a safe transition for attendees enroute and to ensure the finish line area is separated from regular road users.
1.2 This report has been written because Fulton Hogan have proposed to close the following roads on 10 February 2024:
· Lower Styx Road from Marshland Road to 180 metres East of Marshland Road, from 11am to 8pm on Saturday, 10 February 2024
· Marine Parade from Hawke Street to Beresford Street, from 9am on Saturday, 10 February 2024 to 1 am on Sunday, 11 February 2024.
