1. Brief Summary He Whakarāpopototanga Poto
1.1 The purpose of this report is to provide the Road Closure Subcommittee with information to enable the Subcommittee to make a decision regarding the application for proposed road closures for the Lyttelton Farmers Market.
1.2 The reason for the proposed road closures is to provide a safe environment to hold the Lyttelton Farmers Market where attendees and stall holders can operate where they can be separated from motor vehicles to eliminate interactions between vulnerable road users and motor vehicles.
1.3 This report has been written because Project Lyttelton have proposed to close the following road from 7:30am to 2pm every Saturday between 7 October 2023 to 5 October 2024:
· London Street, from Canterbury Street to Oxford Street
1.4 The event organisers have indicated that they have undertaken direct notifications to impacted parties, which is required as part of the road closure application process. The event organisers will provide a record of any feedback received, from impacted parties, to the Subcommittee in advance of the scheduled meeting or alternatively the organisers may present the information in person to the Subcommittee.
1.5 Public notification was carried out through publication in The Press and on the Council website. The period of time allowing for objections to be received meeting the minimum required time period of one week. The application was publicly advertised in The Press on 1 September 2023 with objections closing 8 September 2023.
1.6 No objections received by Council, as a result of the public notifications process.
1.7 Road closures for this event have previously been approved by the Road Closure Subcommittee at this location, with no unexpected impacts regarding traffic movements reported in the area.
1.8 Staff support the proposed temporary road closures and believe that it will not unreasonably impact traffic.

1. Brief Summary He Whakarāpopototanga Poto
1.1 The purpose of this report is to provide the Road Closure Subcommittee with information to enable the Subcommittee to make a decision regarding the application for proposed road closures for the Gebbies Pass Hill Climb.
1.2 The reason for the proposed road closure is to provide a closed course to enable the safe running of a motorsport event where road users and kept off the road to allow the event to proceed without interactions between the public and vehicles involved in the proposed event.
1.3 This report has been written because the Rallies and Trials Enthusiasts Club (RATEC) have proposed to close the following road from 9am to 6pm on 14 October 2023:
· Summit Road from Ahuriri Reserve to Gebbies Pass Road
1.4 The event organisers have indicated that they have undertaken direct notifications to impacted parties, which is required as part of the road closure application process. The event organisers will provide a record of any feedback received, from impacted parties, to the Subcommittee in advance of the scheduled meeting or alternatively the organisers may present the information in person to the Subcommittee.
1.5 Public notification was carried out through publication in The Press and on the Council website. The period of time allowing for objections to be received meeting the minimum required time period of one week. · Beach Road from Smith Street to Rue Balguerie
· Rue Lavaud from Rue Balguerie to Rue Viard
· Rue Pompallier - Entire Length

1.2 The reason for the proposed road closure is to provide a closed road to enable the safe running of a community event, utilising the road space, without interactions between the attendees and vehicles.
1.3 This report has been written because Riccarton Community Church have proposed to close the following road from 8:30am to 3pm on 5 November 2023:
· Elizabeth Street from Division Street to #40 Elizabeth Street
1.4 The event organisers have indicated that they have undertaken direct notifications to impacted parties, which is required as part of the road closure application process. The event organisers will provide a record of any feedback received, from impacted parties, to the Subcommittee in advance of the scheduled meeting or alternatively the organisers may present the information in person to the Subcommittee.
