Members are reminded of the need to be vigilant and to stand aside from decision making when a conflict arises between their role as an elected representative and any private or other external interest they might have.

That the minutes of the Akaroa Museum Advisory Committee meeting held on Wednesday, 7 August 2019  be confirmed (refer page 5).

Obituariesthe meeting acknowledged the recent deaths of Waitai (George) Tikao and Pere Tainui.  Members recognised the work of both men in representing Ōnuku Rūnanga.  A moments silence was observed.

5.   Akaroa Museum Policy Review

 

Committee Comments

1.         It was noted that the policies had been developed with reference to policies from other museums.

2.         It was suggested that staff should investigate a Te Reo name for the Museum.

3.         Some minor amendments to the policies were suggested including conventions around Te Reo names, especially for Banks Peninsula.

That the Akaroa Museum Advisory Committee:

1.         Review the attached policies, confirm updates and endorse.
