11. Resolution to Include Supplementary Reports

1.      Background

1.1          Approval is sought to submit the following report to the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board meeting on 28 May 2019:

12.   Notice of Motion - Deans Avenue - Boy Racers

1.2          The reason, in terms of section 46A(7) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987, why the report was not included on the main agenda, is that it was not available at the time the agenda was prepared.

1.3          It is appropriate that the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board receive the report at the current meeting.

2.      Recommendation

2.1          That the report be received and considered at the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board meeting on 28 May 2019.

12.   Notice of Motion - Deans Avenue - Boy Racers

Pursuant to Clause 22 of the Waipuna/Haslwell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board’s Standing Orders, the following Notice of Motion has been submitted by Helen Broughton:

1.    That the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board write to the New Zealand Police expressing concerns from residents on Deans Avenue regarding boy racer behaviour on Friday and Saturday nights, and respectfully request the police to provide increased oversight.

2.    That the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board notify the Mayor of the above concerns which she can raise, if appropriate, when she next meets with senior police.

 

1.   Recommendation to Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board

That the Waipuna/Halswell-Hornby-Riccarton Community Board decide to:

1.         Accept for consideration the Notice of Motion from Helen Broughton regarding boy racer behaviour on Deans Avenue on Friday and Saturday nights.
