4.   Public Forum

Part B

4.1   Nicole Taylor - Youth Development Fund Recipient - Report Back

 

         Nicole Taylor, a Youth Development Fund recipient, addressed the Board regarding her achievements in rhythmic gymnastics at the National Gymnastics Competition in Tauranga.

 

         Following questions from members, the Chairperson thanked Nicole for her presentation and congratulated her on her successes at the National Gymnastics Competition.

 

         The Board wished Nicole well in her future endeavours. 

 


 

 

4.2       Ashton Drayton-Thackwell - Youth Development Fund Recipient - Report Back

 

             Ashton Drayton-Thackwell, a Youth Development Fund recipient, addressed the Board regarding his achievements at the International Futsal Tournament on the Gold Coast, Australia.

            

             Following questions from members, the Chairperson thanked Ashton for his presentation and congratulated him on the team’s win at the International Futsal Tournament.

 

             The Board wished Ashton success at the World Futsal Competition in Florida, U.S.A, later this year.

7.   Correspondence

 

There was no correspondence presented to the meeting.

 


 

 

8.   Kapuatohe Cottage and Dwelling - Future Use

 

The Board supported the Kapuatohe Cottage and Kapuatohe Dwelling being leased as residential dwellings, once restored.  

 

The Board expressed a desire for the public to be given the opportunity to view these buildings during Heritage Week. 

 

Staff Recommendation

 

That the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board:

1.         Approve the future use of Kapuatohe Cottage and Kapuatohe Dwelling to be leased out as residential dwellings once restored through funding from the 2018-2028 Long Term Plan budgets.

2.         Delegate to the Manager Property Consultancy the authority to take all necessary steps to negotiate, agree and enter into all necessary documentation on behalf of the Council, as they shall consider necessary or desirable to give effect to the above resolutions.

The Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board resolved to:

9.   Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood 2018-19 Discretionary Response Fund - Application - Burnside Rugby Football Club

 

Community Board Resolved FWHB/2019/00012 (Staff recommendation without amendment)

Part C

The Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board resolved to:

1.    Approve a grant of $6,792 from  its 2018-19 Discretionary Response Fund to the Burnside Rugby Football Club towards relining of the clay sewer line that extends from the Rugby Football Club through to the boundary of Burnside Park.

10. Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood 2018-19 Youth Development Fund - Application - Beth Donaldson

 

Community Board Resolved FWHB/2019/00013  (Staff recommendation without amendment)

Part C

The Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board resolved to:

1.         Approve a grant of $100 from its 2018-19 Youth Development Fund to Beth Donaldson towards competing at the Netfest 6-a-side Netball Tournament in Wellington, from 14 to 18 March 2019.

The Board requested that staff investigate the issue of heavy vehicles using School Road and provide a response back to the Board.
