1.              Approves a grant of $6,000 from its 2018/19 Discretionary Response Fund to Ngaio Marsh House and Heritage Trust towards the landscaping and replanting of gardens.

Ernlea Terrace – Attachment A

1.         Revokes the existing parking restriction in the parts of road referred to as ‘Area C - Proposed No Stopping Restrictions’ as indicated on Attachment A, drawing TG133094, dated 9/08/2018, attached to the agenda for this meeting.

2.         Approves that the stopping of vehicles be prohibited at any time in the parts of road shown as ‘Area A, Area B, Area C - Proposed No Stopping Restrictions’ as indicated on Attachment A, drawing TG133094, dated 9/08/2018, attached to the agenda for this meeting.

3.         Approves that the stopping of vehicles be prohibited at any time in the verge shown as ‘Area D - Proposed No Stopping Restrictions in Verge as indicated on Attachment A, drawing TG133094, dated 9/08/2018, attached to the agenda for this meeting.

That the Waihoro/Spreydon-Cashmere Community Board:

1.         Lodge a submission in support of the proposed parking changes at the Sign of the Kiwi, particularly with regard to the proposed provision of disability parking..

The Board agreed to hold a workshop to consider the Council’s Draft Suburban Parking Policy, Earthquake Prone Buildings, and the Draft Heritage Strategy currently being consulted on.

 

 

11. Elected Members’ Information Exchange

Part B

The Board shared the following information:

·      Heritage in the Spreydon-Cashmere area , such as Sign of the Takahe, is worthy of support.

·      The Cashmere Residents’ Association Annual General Meeting was held on 18 October 2018.

·      The ongoing good work of Spreydon Neighbourhood Network was acknowledged.

·      The viability of a Menz Shed in St Martins is currently being investigated.

·      The tragic loss of lives in the recent helicopter crash in Wanaka was acknowledged. The Chairperson will write to the Department of Conservation and offer the Board’s condolences.
