That the minutes of the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board meeting held on Monday 15 October 2018, be confirmed.

4.1       Ali Kerr - Sefton Street

             Ali Kerr, resident of Sefton Street in Belfast, spoke to her tabled presentation requesting that consideration be given to placing a ‘Heavy Vehicle’ restriction on Sefton Street to control the parking of large vehicles in this residential street. 

             Ms Kerr also requested that the such restrictions be considered for Englefield Road and Lagan Street as these streets were apparently being used by large vehicles as a shortcut to Johns Road.

             The Chairperson thanked Ali Kerr for bringing this matter to the Board.

Part B

             The Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board decided to:

1.         Request that the matters raised by Ali Kerr regarding heavy vehicles in some Belfast streets be referred to staff for consideration and response back to the Board.

Community Board Resolved FWHB/2018/00107  

Part B

That the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board decided to:

1.         Receive the information in the correspondence report dated 29 October 2018 from
Sam Wilkes regarding parking issues in Roydvale Avenue and to refer the matters raised to staff for consideration and response back to the Board.

8.   Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood 2018-19 Discretionary Response Fund - Application - Yaldhurst Tennis Club

 

Community Board Resolved FWHB/2018/00108  (Original Staff Recommendation accepted without change)

Part C

The Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board resolved to:

1.         Approve a grant of $7,000 from its 2018-19 Discretionary Response Fund to the
Yaldhurst Tennis Club towards the
upgrade of the community tennis courts at the
Yaldhurst Domain.

1.         Receive the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board Area Report for October 2018.

2.         Receive the minutes of its Submissions Committee meeting of 3 October 2018 for record purposes.

 10.   Elected Members’ Information Exchange

10.1    Waiwetu Reserve - Gum Trees

             The Chairperson advised of an onsite visit to discuss with Brenda Anderson property owner, issues regarding two large gum trees adjoining her property.

             The Board agreed to refer the matter raised of the gum trees on Waiwetu Reserve to staff for consideration and response back to the Board.

 

10.2    Mona Vale

             Mention  was made of a Press item regarding the closure of the café at Mona Vale. 

  The Board agreed to request further information from staff on the matter.

 

10.3    Kabaddi Cup Christchurch – 2019 event at Burnside Park

10.4    Air Rescue Services - open day

10.5    Te Ora Hou Otautahi/Christchurch – Annual General Meeting

10.6    Christchurch Diwali 2018 – Indian Festival of Lights – forthcoming event

10.7    Draft Annual Plan 2019 – update

10.8    Christchurch Art Gallery – ‘Art Do’ charity event

10.9    Bread and Circus 2019 – recent launch

 

11. Resolution to Exclude the Public

Part C

That at 4.50pm the resolution to exclude the public set out on pages 37 and 38 of the agenda, be adopted.

When put to the meeting, the motion was declared carried by 8 votes to 1 vote.

A division was requested and recorded as follows:

The following matter was considered in public excluded meeting and the decisions released into open meeting.

12. Board Governance

 

The Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board resolved:

1.              To remove Aaron Campbell as Deputy Chairperson of the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board.

2.              To adopt voting System A when electing a Deputy Chairperson for the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board.

3.         To elect David Cartwright as the Deputy Chairperson of the Waimāero/Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board for the remainder of the 2016-19 term.
