The Subcommittee accepted the Staff Recommendations after giving consideration to the deputations on this item from Rebecca Parish of Foodstuffs (South Island) Properties Limited and Edward Wright of Environment Canterbury’s Public Transport Team. The Subcommittee were appreciative for both deputations including for Foodstuffs’ willingness to work with the Council in relation to their request to move the bus stop west, but after considering the reasons for and against the more westerly location and the Staff Recommended location approved the latter.
