1.   Purpose and Origin of Report

Purpose of Report

1.1       The purpose of this report is for Spreydon/Heathcote Small Grants Fund Assessment Committee to consider applications for funding from their 2016/17 Small Grants Fund.

Origin of Report

1.2       This report is staff generated as a result of applications being received.

2.   Significance

2.1       The decision(s) in this report is of low significance in relation to the Christchurch City Council’s Significance and Engagement Policy.

2.1.1   The level of significance was determined by the number of people affected and/or with an interest.

2.1.2   Due to the assessment of low significance, no further community engagement and consultation is required.

3.         Delegate authority to the Committee Chairperson and a member of the Committee to confirm the minutes of the meeting,

 

 

4.   Key Points

4.1       The available funding for allocation from the 2016/2017 funding year is $55,000 and subject to Board approval at the Community Board meeting on 15 July 2016 a further $8,438 is to be transferred to the Small Grants Fund from the Discretionary Response Fund, making the total $63,438.  This allocation has taken into account when making staff recommendations.

4.2       All funding approved is for the period of September to August each year.

4.3       Staff have assessed and made recommendations.  If these recommendations are adopted, the remaining balance would be $0.

4.4       No ineligible applications were received.

4.5       The attached Decision Matrix (Attachment A) provides detailed information for the application.  This includes organisational details, project details, financial information, a staff assessment and a priority ranking.

4.6       The Funding Outcomes and Priorities (Attachment B) and Criteria (Attachment C) for this fund are attached.
